Remember, slip couplings require TWO shrink sleeves to seal…
A heat shrinkable polyolefin band that shrinks when heated with a heat gun and wraps around the connection. The resulting joint is mechanically strong and is vacuum tight! A great product. Recommended for use in systems under 15 psi.
NOTE: Based on our experience. Shrink sleeves are the least expensive method of joining light wall tubing. Use shrink sleeves with expanded end fittings. Use compression couplings when straight ends connections are being used.

Remember, slip couplings require two shrink sleeves to seal. Compression couplings require none.

NOTE: Compression couplings replace slip couplings. Slip couplings are required for joining 2 straight tube ends when shrink wrap sleeves are used in lieu of compression couplings.

Can be used for joining any two straight ends of tubing or fittings. The slip coupling is a solid sleeve that fits the O.D. of the joint which can then be brazed, welded, or covered by a shrink sleeve. Slip couplings are used when shrink wrap sleeves are used instead of compression couplings.
INSTALOK™ Couplings: These couplings are designed specifically for conveying plastic pellets and other non-sanitary vacuum applications. Available in sizes ranging from 1.5 inches to 6 inches. Construction: Galvanized steel. O-rings available in: Black Nitrile White Nitrile Viton™ Key features: Eliminates the risk of product contamination due to deteriorating gasket material. Installs in less the time compared to competing couplings. Costs 20% less than traditional compression couplings. Ideal for vacuum systems and conveying plastic pellets. Compression Couplings (Morris Type): Designed for vacuum and pressure applications in pneumatic conveying or industrial vacuum systems. Available in sizes from 1.5 inches to 14 inches. Construction: Heavy-gauge, zinc-plated steel. Standard gaskets: Black Neoprene or White Nitrile Rubber. Stainless steel grounding strips (to eliminate static electricity build-up) are standard.
